I live in nearby, a suburb of sacramento to be exact, and i have been to davis many many times, it will never snow on a regular basis, more like hardly ever, it's just cold and rainy in the winter, well cold to us californian is 32 degrees, it doesnt get worse than that usually.

Why just this upcoming Thursday the weather predicted claims to be:

Thursday
Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of flurries in the morning...then a slight chance of light rain showers in the afternoon. Highs around 44.

So yes, it may snow in davis

Very, very rare. It's constantly cold enough to snow. It rarely ever happens. In the 3 years I was there, it happened on one day (and not much of it). Talking with the professors, they said it had been years and years since the last time they saw snow.
