For those who have actually been in graduate school, i need advice on how to start researching for WHAT i want to major in. I'm not good at anything in specific except maybe for writing. I'm not good in math or anything like that. Am I hopeless for graduate school?

I'm a junior in college and a psychology major. I'm feeling really burned out and disengaged at school and I have no idea if I want to finish my last year in the Fall or wait until I know I'll have more motivation and do better.

I know it would be good to just get it out of the way, but I literally get sick to my stomach when I think about going back to the same thing. If I do go back, I am transferring schools anyway to be closer to home for various reasons.

My alternate plan if I don't go back on track with my psych degree is to start training as a sign language interpreter. I have the chance to do really well in that area and I don't know if I should take a break and give that a try or just go back to school.

Help?

I am a junior in high school and I go to a private Christian prep school and here are the classes I have taken so far (and the grades I made each semester in parenthesis):

Freshman year:
English 1 (A & A)
Spanish 1 (A & A)
Bible 1 (A & A)
Geometry (A & A)
World History (A & A)
Drama (A & A)

Sophomore year:
English 2 (A & A)
Spanish 2 (A & A)
Bible 2 (A & B+)
Honors Algebra 2 (B+ & B+)
Honors Biology (B+ & B+)

Junior Year (currently am taking):
Honors American Lit (A)
Spanish 3 (A)
Bible 3 (A)
Honors Math IV (trig/ precal) (B+)
Honors Chem (B+)
U.S. History (A)
Yearbook (A)

Next year I plan to take:
AP Lit
Gov/ Econ
Honors Bible 4
Yearbook
TA

We only have 6 class periods so do you think I need another year of math? (AP Calculus AB or AP Statistics) or should I take Anatamy? OR should I see about taking Spanish 4? My school doesn't currently have it, but I may be able to do independent study.

I am looking for a fairly recent list that includes colleges that graduates of Lowell High School and University High School (both located in SF, CA) were accepted to, and also the number of students that went to each college. Is there any place, other than the school's website, where I can find such information? If I called the main offices of each school, could they provide it? I am entering highschool next year, and would like to have the information at hand should I be accepted to both schools. Any suggestions much appreciated! :)

I'm applying to PhD at a tier 3 university (according to the USnews.com website). I spent ~6 months in 2006 traveling the US, hoping to find that ideal PhD program. I finally found this niche in mid-December. This college may not be top 1 or 2 in the world but it has the research/opportunities relative to my future career/goals.
(I didn't do so well in the GRE but that's my app is pretty good other than that.)

I was wondering: How competitive is admission to grad schools with a tier 3 ranking? (Incase you're wondering, the prog. is Life Science).

Thanks in advance.

I am considering tranfering to an Alaskan University, I don't know whether University of Alaska-Fairbanks or University of Alaska-Anchorage. I am a Biology major, I just want to know what it is it like to study in one of those universities, or if you have any comments or personal experiences that you may want to share. All the information that you can give me it will be greatly appreciated, and please just dont copy paste the information from the universities website. Please explain why is it good or bad. Or should I consider other schools... Thank you

I am good at getting the truth/facts out of people. I can sense when people are lying or up to something. People tend to open up to me right away. I analyze things over and over to think of all possibilities and options. I look deeper into things than most people...I put more meaning behind a look or gesture or the way someone says something. I am skeptical but would like to look at the world through rose-colored glasses. Sometimes I still tend to do that with some areas in life. I have a photographic memory for details. I'm very sensitive and aware and self-conscious but also very tuned in to what's going on with people around me. I'm very empathetic and feel what others are feeling and can put myself in their situation and know what they're going through. I sometimes have premonition-type dreams. So...what career would best suit me, knowing these details about myself ? Do you need to know more ?
