I am applying to graduate school and am contemplating the research track for my degree. Other than a lot more work, what is the difference between a research degree and a regular one?

I am pursuing a degree in Media & Communications and hope to go into Marketing Communication or Public Relations. Does the research track typically provide more opportunity for financial aid?

Depends on what type of job you want after you get your Master's. It also varies from field to field. For example, if you are in the sciences and you want to get a job at a research lab, you'll want the research experience.
