I'm taking the Jan. 27 SAT exams but the college application deadline is Feb. 1. Will I still be able to apply and just leave the SAT scores section on the application blank, and let collegeboard send in my scores?

I'm applying to university of north carolina wilmington and I need to write two essays. They gave topics to write about so its not that I need help with choosing a topic. The first essay is about why i want to go there, and the second essay question is what does engaged learning mean to me? I feel like I haven't learned anything in English class throughout highschool. I cant even remember how to write an essay. This sounds stupid but will I need to have a 5 paragraph essay? or do I just need a introduction w/ a thesis statement, a body paragraph, and a conclusion? Im just so nervous I forgot what I need to do.

My concern is the expense. My income is too much to get many of the scholarships and financial aid but not enough to pay my way. Is it realistic to take out student loans at my age? I earned my BA almost 5 years ago and haven't been able to obtain regular employment. I'm a substitute teacher. I am certified as a social studies teacher by way of the Troops-to-Teachers program, but if I don't find employment as one soon then I'll lose my certification. So, I'm thinking of specializing as a special ed. teacher for students with emotional problems. What do you think???? (I don't have any VA or military education benefits left.)

What I want to do is do painting, writing, and illustration. For possible work options I'm looking into of course painting on side to make money when possible, illustration for books or whatever is needed, writing for a magazine or newspaper, working for a greeting card company, teaching, and being an author of some sort even if its minor. It would be cool if I could have a gallery displayed of my work for people to look at or to get into a museum one day. Also, if I could get even one of my stories published and made an impact that would be a great accomplishment.
I have not desired to take another Graphic Design class at my school, and I have no desire to do advertisement, logos, or anything like that. I think it's pointless and stupid.

Maybe I want to accomplish too much.. =/

I'm a UK student, in my final year of studying a BA Hons in Early Childhood stuides. Which in brief is a course that gives a reasonably in-depth overview/study of the entire caring profession. e.g. Health, education and social care.
The job prospects are, dire, although my lectureres would fiercely disagree. I am currently job hunting, and nothing, i mean nothing is coming up that i can do with my degree, firstly i am too young (will be 21 when i graduate), i don't have years of PAID experience. (I have tons of voluntary, plus it has to have been done within the last 6 months to a year otherwise it's not really valid.

So my question is it really worth while?
Does a dissertation really male that much of a difference?
I have so many other assignements coming in over the next few months, that also involve research, is it better to get a good grade overall through eliminating one thing i.e.disseration, or just an average grade overall?

I'm thinking about going to school at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. The school is supposed to be one of the top academic schools in the midwest but it is very small. It has 620 students and the town only has 3500 people. I have lived in California my whole life and the town I live in is considered small and it has 93,000. Is anybody here from kansas and known anything about bethany or lindsborg. Do you guys think I should go. They are giving me a tennis scholarship so I will only have to pay 5,000 dollars a year tuition and they have a great tennis team. What do you guys think. Will I be able to adjust to the small town environment and slow pace.
