For three of the colleges that I am applying to, the essay question that I want to answer states, "Choose a favorite film, novel, musical piece, work of art, etc and why it has special importance to you?" Tell me about something that is popular & that can be easily related to developing someone's life. Thanks a bunch!

I'm 24 year old this yr, second yr..and by the time i graduate, it will be 26. Thinking to quit. I know it's never too old to get my education. But by the time when i finish, i'm still a blank piece of paper with no work experience. I'm afraid that no one will employ me when im that old. People who are 26 already gained work experiences. Chances for me to get employ is minimum. Feeling so hard to compete with other people who usually graduate 23, 24.

Now let me clarify some things I'm 19 and a freshman in college and my parents think I should have to go to summer school, which will suck and it will be a hassle because I'll have to stay in a different dorm. I don't want to go to summer school, my parents think I have to but I've taken the 12-13 credits so far and passed everything, and I know for a fact that is enough credits. Shouldn't I have a choice at 19 about this?

I am recenlty deciding to ditch Education as my major becuase I don't like the politics of dealing with students parents. I am very interested in Interior design. I would like to know what kind of college degree would help me persue this career and how I should get started. I would like to open my own company eventually. And want to know what would be useful for myself to achieve this goal. I am not afraid of hard work and putting in the "hours". Thanks

I'm fifteen and pretty sure I'm leaving school in June. I have a want to become a chef so I want to do a cooking course at college. Recentley my friends have told me I'm making a huge mistake by not going to sixth form. They say that I wont end up cooking and that I'll have nothing to fall back on. But this is something I really want to do now. I wouldn't enjoy being in the school system anymore. I don't enjoy and I'm ready and wanting to be in the adult world.

What shall I do?

All of your help is appreaciated. =]

I want to know if its possible to submit the application personally, by driving to the office of admissions at George Mason University and handing them my supporting documentation personally. George Mason has been known to misplace some supporting documentation, but my main concern is if I were to mail it, it might arrive past the application due date. I am applying today online, but they wish for you to send supporting documentation (such as transcripts, letters of recommendation, counselor reports etc.) my mail, e-mal, or fax. I don't want to risk my documents arriving past Janurary 15th. Geroge Mason is about 20 minutes from here, so do you think they would allow me dropping it off personally. Has anyone ever dropped an application off personally? I'll have everything I need by Monday or Tuesday, but will it arrive their by January 15th (next monday which is Martin Luther King's Birthday) if the school is 20 minutes away? Please answer all questions it would be a great help to me!

My biggest challenge in shcool is staying awake. I mean it. Even if I am well rested. I've tried caffinated drinks but they don't help. The lecture starts and I feel my attention fogging and my eyes crossing..... and.....It's worse if the lights are off for a presentation. Anyone out there have ideas that have worked for them?
