it's about 9 or more years. I'm thinking about begin a peditrician as well but it takes a long time and dedication

Look to invest at least 10 to 15 years to education for this. How do I know? I'm still debating becoming one as well. The thing making me hesitate is the amount of time involved.
You have to get a degree in science and then begin medical school then you do residency and other things. It is a great deal of time required, dedication too.

Depends on how hard you are willing to work. If you do the average credits a semester, and ace everything...four years to get your bachelors, get into med, approx four years, then two years residency.
Work harder, more credits per semester, etc, you could be done faster.
