I am recenlty deciding to ditch Education as my major becuase I don't like the politics of dealing with students parents. I am very interested in Interior design. I would like to know what kind of college degree would help me persue this career and how I should get started. I would like to open my own company eventually. And want to know what would be useful for myself to achieve this goal. I am not afraid of hard work and putting in the "hours". Thanks

You don't have to graduate college to own a business. But it may help you to get a business degree if you already have talent in design; if you don't, maybe a degree in design or art would help. You might want to look at art schools or trade schools to learn more, rather than a traditional college or university.

My sister-in-law has an art degree from Saint Rose college and her house is designed beautifully. She could go into businessas an interior designer easily.
