Depends on whether the college is on a semester or quarter basis, but let's assume semester.
Normally, they require about 128 hours or so for a 4 year degree, and 64 for a two year degree.
That's about 32 per year or 16 per semester.
So, 82 hours would be more than 2 years (64), but less than 3 years (96).
There is a complication if you are transferring hours from one school to another or moving between majors at the same school.
The 82 hours already earned may not all qualify for all schools or majors. Check with an adviser at the school in question to be sure.

It depends. Not all credit hours get transferred automatically between universities and colleges. A semester is usually roughly 15-18 credit hours. If you are studying at a local community college, and want to transfer to a local state university in the same state, sometimes there are programs that will help you transfer credit hours more smoothly.
Talk to the admissions department. It certainly does help that you already have that many hours because you are probably not applying as a high school student anymore but rather "transferring" from a college. They probably will make you do certain things, regardless of what you have done at your previous college, like take English at the new university. I transferred universities and had to retake English and had to take another Science and Art credit.

Ask the college that you will be attending. When I complete next semester, I will be transferring 62 college credits. Just check and see. If you took all transferable credits, then they should. Good luck!!!

Quarter hours or semester hours ?
Either way tho, should be about 2 years . . .
Or is 15 hours no longer a full load ?
Maybe some of them are non-transferable , check with the office .
