To be blunt... do you want to be a Doctor?

If No (or unsure)... then DON'T go- it's not worth it. The life you will live is difficult with long shifts and pretty much a dead social life. In the UK, you will live on a fairly low wage and you will complain for years! I have already seen students that have dropped out of Medicine because they were forced into it. If you really enjoy it ... then do it.

If Yes... Go for it!!! A medical degree is a medical degree wherever you do it. It is one of the hardest degrees and that remains the same whether you are in London or Timbuktoo. If you go to Hungary to do this degree, be aware that there are exams in most countries that allow foreign Doctors to practise. You will have to pass those exams for the country that you live in to practise. Do a bit of research and find out more about them. In terms of respectability... If you enjoy med- noone cares where your degree is from... its all about helping others and ENOYING IT!

It all hinges on how badly you want to be a Doctor. Nonetheless... Good Luck!!!!
