27 hours (9 classes), and i got 3 A's 1 B 3 C's....ok so i won't ever take more than 7 classes in a semester again lol! it took a lot of studying and i had no life tho, so i wouldn't suggest it. i usually take 5 or 6 classes (15-18 credits), and usually pass (unless it's a bunch of science classes).

Been a while. I graduated in 1984 from Philadelphia New School of Music.

I think 8 classes with a total of 24 credits for the semester.

I was on the Dean's List for 4 years. So, I pulled a 3.8 for for the cumulation of the 4 years.

Me? 4. And that was plenty (and the usual number for my school). Actually I did try to take 5 one semester, but I ended up dropping one. I pretty much got the same grades every semester (As and Bs).

My husband (who went to the same college) took 8 classes for one semester in his senior year, so he could complete a double major (Chemical Engineering and Music Composition). Even though he was taking some of the hardest Chem. Eng. courses, he got the highest GPA of his college career during that semester (straight As or close to it)! He also went through many, many bottles of tums, and got no sleep (obviously).

My university had quarters, not semesters, so I don't know how they compare. However, my last quarter of college, I took 24 credit hours (8 classes) and I had 7 A's and 1 B. 3 of the classes were graduate level, and none of them were "easy A" classes. They were all 400 level and above. It was very expensive (my university made me pay for each credit hour over 18) and took every moment of my time, but I think I did a great job.

22 credits and a 4.0 GPA. I think it depends on what your major and college are, of course. If you're at Harvard, pre-med, it's a totally different story. It is a great experience for learning time management, multi tasking, and how to cope with stressors though. If you have the option of taking extra credits, even if they are just classes you're interested in, I'd suggest it.

I have taken 18-21 hours (7 classes)and gotten A's and B's. Of course I had to mantain those grades inorder to get permission from the Dean's office to keep doing it. It is hard but possible to very well.

I was going for 5 (including lab), but both of my english classes got freaking insane with essays and readings so I had to drop my chem w/ lab. Next quarter I'll see that I will have 4 or 5 (at least 16 units)

Usually only 30 credits actually transfer from a CC to a 4-year if you only go two years for your AA.That may be different where you are though. I would suggest contacting the academics counselor at your CC and then CSU to get the actual information.
