colleges on chemical science?

Can anyone tell me some colleges excellent on chemical science/engeering in the U.S. and Europe?

The list of good schools for Chemistry is almost identicle to the list of good universities in the US. Just look at university rankings at www.usnews.com to get an idea what schools are best.

As for engineering, many of the better state universities are as good or better than many great private universities. Sure -- MIT and Cal Tech are the best, and most of the Ivy League schools and other top private universities have good engineering programs. But public universities like University of California at Berkeley, Georgia Tech and all of the schools in the Big Ten (e.g., Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, etc) have truly great engineering programs.
