when a person is in college, they can choose to have a "pre-med" focus which involves taking a number of biology, chemistry, etc. classes in preparation for the MCAT (the test a person has to take to apply to medical school) and medical school itself. medical school, like you said, follows college and one graduates as an MD

Pre med is a major in college (for youre undergraduate degree) I dont think that you have to go pre med in undergraduate school to go for your medical degree (which a postgraduate education) I am pretty sure you could major in anatomy or biology or some of the other science programs and continue on to get youre medical degree.

pre-med is part of college. some colleges have it as a major, but most of the time it's basically you taking classes required for admission into a medical school (and you calling yourself a pre-med major if your school doesn't have it)...it's just like classes you take in highschool to get into college (and if you want to name it, you would call it pre-college)...same thing...not a whole different school

usually there's no such undertaking as a premed application anymore. A BS in technology with heavy emphasis on existence sciences (Biology, organic and organic chem, math etc.) Med college is the subsequent section to starting to be a physician and could take one extra 4 years. then you definately could have a residency era for some extra years.
