What restaurant do you know of in the CA bay area (south bay is best - but the city is fine too) that's a LOT OF FUN? I've had singing waiters - and belly dancers - and whatever. Any suggestions for a good time along with your dinner?

Me and my siblings all live about as far from Chicago as is possible, but our parents want to have their 50 year party there since most of our relatives and lots of family friends live there. We don't want to do a banquet since we're so far away and really don't know how many people are going to show up, we'd rather find a good restaurant that has a private room. That way if 80 people decide to show up, fine, but if only 20 show up also fine. We don't want to have to worry about coming up a fixed number, whoever shows up, shows up and orders whatever they want. A place that would do some kind of buffet might work.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

We live on the LA Ventura county border and i am willing to drive a bit. I am thinking of taking her to The Smoke House in Burbank, but i wanted to get some other ideas. Hollywood, wilshire santa monica venice are all ok. It needs to be dressy because she likes to get dressed. No jacket required because i don't have one.

I am going to visit Grand Canyon next week, and stay at Flagstaff and Phoenix for few days around that. If you know some good restaurants or foods I must eat, please tell me!
