I am looking for a moderately priced restaurant for an engagment party that has a great atmosphere, good food and can hold about 25 people. It must be in Westchester County, NY or in the Nyack or Peirmont areas in NY. We are having it at the end of April so places with outdoor areas would be nice! THANKS!

I'm gonna be living in Austin, TX in a month - moving from The Bronx, NY - and I'm wondering what some good restaurants are in terms of service, price, and tasty delights. I know there's a chinatown there and I'm definitely gonna miss the NY chinatown's food. So, anybody have any input on the cheap but tasty?

I'd also like not to have to pay an arm and a leg to afford it. Can you give me any suggestions? I'm particularly interested in places that are not chains.

I posted a question out here a week ago in the Food category that asked of people WHO KNEW BOTH, which pastrami and pastrami sandwiches they preferred: New York or Montreal ("viande fumee") kinds. Of those who answered 100% -- ONE HUNDRED PERCENT --said they preferred Montreal!!! As one who always will get to Katz' when in the Big Apple and is familiar with NY boasting about its pastrami (though I much like Montreal's, too),
I was so surprised there was not at least a couple of New York partisans. Et tu?

Just wondering if any Locals or people that have been there before have any favorite places to eat in Chicago. I'll be going there next week for about four days. THanks :)

I have a 9 year old son who's still is on the kids menu. If we go to a restaurant with no kids menu is there a limit to what he can order on the regular menu? i.e. lobster or crab from a seafood restaurant?

I am a waitress, I would like to know what everyone thinks is a good tip to leave, and if you leave good ones. Why is it that some people actually think its ok to leave less than 10%. Might I add, that I have actually waited on Patriots football players and other famous people (Ty Warren, Ty Law, and Bobby Brown), given them respect and privacy and NEVER have asked for an autograph and they leave 10% or less, when I know they make more during 1 game than I make in a year. Your oppinion please...

And the problem is that I a vegetarian AND now that I am pregnant I have an even harder time finding foods that I enjoy. So, I am looking for a good restaurant for vegetarian dishes, and I have a hard time with anything too spicy. I like sweet foods and cheesy foods. I would also like to find a good place for green corn tamales or other type of Southwestern food that is not on the spicy side. Any suggestions?? Casual, dinner, lunch ideas accepted!! thanks!

I'm looking for food items and especially E. Wedel products. Any restaurants that serve Polish food would be nice too.
