Well, you can't beat the location or the weather... that's true. I've found that the cost of living is pretty much on par with most major cities, also, unless you are looking to buy rather than rent. The nightlife is great if you're young and beautiful, not so much if you aren't extremely attractive, because they most likely won't let you in. The plasticity of the people bothered me, and I was a working actress at the time!!! It's kind of why I got out of the industry and out of L.A. It seemed that people only wanted to get to know you for what they could get out of it. I prefer to live where the people are a little more real and where there is not so much traffic. Also, at night, the sky always had this pinkish hue that was a little disturbing. I like my nights dark, where I can see the stars in the sky, not at the Ivy.

In 2 words - lotsa fun.

It gets a bad rap sometimes, but it really is a great city. Nothing is more beautiful than driving down PCH from Malibu to Santa Monica at sunset - blue water, orange sky, pure heaven.

I lived in the beach areas of LA for 7 years. I miss it immensely.

Los Angeles is a very diverse city. Not really much to do at nights, but there a nice shopping malls. Of course there is Disney Land, Knotts, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios. Fun stuff for families.

Its fast paced everyone is in a rush moreover I guess determined to accomplished their mission as a person. It definitely has beauty encompassed in a lot to do for financially strained people as well as high servitude to the contrary. I love LA for vacation however its not a reality the majority have. I love the lights its not too many areas in the city going to hollywood and midwilshire thats dreary. LLLooove the mood that LA offers

It's one of the best cities in the world right up there with London, Paris and New York.

Anything you could ever desire is available here...amazing restaurants of every nationality, brilliant art, music, film, theatre, people and culture. There's so much to do.

The cost of living is expensive, but most jobs (especially in the entertainment industry) pay fairly well. And you can't beat the weather.

I love it! I feel so alive! I moved here a year and a half ago from a really small town...(Merced....it's like an hour north of Fresno...) Anyway, it's great here in LA, except, people do not know how to f***ing drive!!!!! I have been in 2 car accidents in less than a year since I have been here, and they weren't my fault. So that sucks, but otherwise, it's awesome!
