Either

The corporate office has decided not to sell any franchises in Las Vegas,

or

No one has taken out a franchise from corporate

or

There is a court ruling and injunction preventing Dunkin' Donuts from opening a store because of a Nevada trademark infringement, or something of that nature (this type of thing happens more often than one might think).

If I had to guess, my best guess would be the first one, though.
Krispy Kreme just opened up stores in NM and AZ 2 years ago, and pulled out lock-stock-and-barrel 6 months ago. Strange corporate decisions, indeed.

I wondered that myself. I heard that there is ONE, and only ONE in the whole city and it's not even on the main strip. Someone needs to do it and make some serious money. Dunkin Donuts coffee after a long night in the casinos/bars would be a winner!

many Dunkin Donuts locations have closed over the past few years... it has been harder to compete against Krispy Kreme and Starbucks, and the "low carb" dieting that everyone was doing had an impact on sales...

so, there are not as many around (especially in the western states) as there used to be...

Dunkin Donut's are only in the eastrn US. In the western there are Krispy Kremes which I can assure you are just as good. At DD, my fave is the pink frosted with sprinkles; At KK, my fave is the glazed while its warm.

I don't have a reason why for you, but I can tell you that I would love to know why there aren't more on the West Coast. There should totally be one in the Bay Area too.....forget about the donuts, their coffee is the best!! Fell in love with it when I was living outside of Boston :)
