Dining Out - July 2007

My uncle is planning on opening a brandnew family restaurant. Thus, he is looking for an appropriate/eye-catching name for his new restaurant.
The menu consists of ordinary sandwiches that go along with coffee. Most of the food in the menu are good for brunch. They are the type of food that anyone at any age would enjoy. The main colors that represent the restaurant is brown/beige.
Italian, French, or Spanish names are wonderful!

Anyone else ever notice that when the kids ask for root beer at a restaurant they wind up getting it in a can or a bottle instead of a glass like regular soda? So why is it that resturaunts have most other kinds of soda in their soda guns but usually not root beer?

Back in 1987-89, I used to go to a little drive-thru burger joint in Clarksville, TN called "Beefy's". They were reasonably priced, had great burgers and the best fries I've ever tasted. Is it still there? Do they (or did they) have other locations?

today was my first day as a cashier there and i got a "trainer" to tell me how to use the register but she did it so fast i forgot everything. so does anyone know if there's a website that goes thru every step of using it, or just a list of what the abbreviations mean. also how do u fry the fries. i know u put the full basket in the oil then press "1" or "2", so how do i know which one to press and how do i know when they're ready.

Im a waitress and I would NEVER mess with someones food. However, when i go out to eat, Im always super nice to whomever is waiting on me because i know the power they have to make me unknowingly eat something yucky. Why does it seem that none of the people I wait on understand this concept?
