It is relatively healthy. The dressings and the chicken add fat. The grilled chicken is definitely a better choice than the crispy chicken which is fried. Low cal/low fat dressings are also the way to go.

For the fan of Super Size Me, Think for yourself and forget Spurlock, he is an idiot, and he twists truth and perspective so as to try and validate his points. He's like the twin borhter of Michael Moore that way.

Facts: crispy chicken and a packet of regular dressing give the salad more fat content than the Big Mac. Grilled chicken and a better choice of dressing eliminate that. Nice twist and slant on the truth,Morgan. Very typical of guys like him to only tell a the part of the truth that advances their stupid ideas....

Sugar.... well how do you define it? Refined sugars from the regular dressings get close to what is in a cookie. Total sugar which is the refined sugar plus the natural, raw, unrefined complex sugars in the produce make the sugar content higher than your cookie. What he leaves out is the type of sugar molecules you are consuming. Technically the produce has sugars in it, but those are healthy, unlike refined sugars. It's all in how these idiots spin things for their political agendas.

Don't be so naive.

http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.index1.html

take a look there, you can see the nutritional facts for each salad at McDonalds, just scroll down a little til you find the Salad section.

Some aren't that bad, if you were to get one, get a grilled chicken one over a salad with crispy chicken- it makes a big difference.
(It says a ceasar salad with CRISPY chicken has 13 g of fat!
but a ceasar salad with GRILLED chicken has 6 g of fat!)

So pick a salad with grilled chicken, have a diet soda/water, and avoid french fries and it's great! the grilled chicken salads have less fat than the hamburgers.

remember- the CRISPY chicken and fatty dressing KILLS the salad.

Most of the salads are healthy, the dressing is a killer.

Depends on the type of dressing you use. If you are going to use a cream based dressing like ranch or bleu cheese, you might as well get a cheeseburger.

There are low fat dressings. The Ginger Sesame dressing is low-fat, as is the balsamic vinaigrette, and the Italian. As long as you don't get the crispy chicken on it, and go for grilled, it is much healthier for you.
