My digital cable box must hook into one set, it does not use coaxial TO watch cable i have to switch the input on the tv to the input setting and therefore i am not able to switch or even hook up my other devices. I bought one of those component switching devices from Best Buy and I could not figure out how to hook up all of the devices. Please Help ME!!!!

Charter communication, the worst experience at costumer service in my life, has provided me with a Motorola-

DVR box but ALL the digital transfer outputs are disabled. USB 1 & 2 as well as the eathernet adaptor. When I called for an expplanation I was told rudely that Charter "Was not in the biz of pirating programing!". Yes, she raised her voice.

Any info on enabling the ports or is it a MOXI software issue?

Now, if I wanted to transfer programing I recorded to a portable device, I would need to build a MythTV box.

I made a short movie and after editing it using Adobe Premiere, I got the final cut in AVI format with the correct ratio (16:9).. Then I convereted it to DVD.. When I play the DVD on my PC the ratio gets distorted and never appears as widescreen in most video players such as (Realplayer or Winamp).. It only can play correctly (16:9) if I chosen to open it with "Windows Media player classic".. The problem is that I'm having a screening for the movie using a DVD player set, and when I tested it the ratio gets distorted and not widescreen. Is there any settings that I can adjust in the DVD player to let it read the movie correctly in widescreen??

I've recorded some children's programs on the Disney Channel and noticed some issues (slight blurriness here & there, especially where there is quick movement) and wondered if anyone else was seeing this as well?

As prevelant as DVD's have become, why does it seem to be so difficult for people to learn how to properly handle the blasted things?! You would think that proper handling would be common knowledge by now. (Take a look at the surface of your next rental DVD, and count the scratches/fingerprints on it).

I live in Tennessee and have DirecTV HD Service. I have had a DirecTV Tivo for several years and recently upgraded to the HD Tivo. To my displeasure I have since found out that there is a new format for HD broadcasts that this new Tivo is not capable of receiving. Further DirecTV doesn't have a consumer DVR that will receive this new format. Finding information on a release date for the new DVR is tough. Does anyone here have any information concerning the release date for the new MPEG4 HD DVR from DirecTV?

I had a problem with my Phillips DVDR70 Recorder. Basically, after just over 2 years, it's given up finalising any disc. I've got 20-30 discs that I haven't yet finalised and, thus, have a major problem.

Is it possible for me to finalise these on a different DVD recorder ? I've got my eye on a SONY brand recorder buy will submit and buy another Phillips (which I really don't want to do) if I can only finalise them on that.

Any help is urgently needed and very much appreciated.

Cheers
