Look for red white and yellow holes on the device that say A/V out.
or they may say Audio out and Video out. If you can find these then your DVR will allow you hook up a DVD recorder to it.

A DVD recorder can be purcahsed for a 100 bucks at radioshack. When you get plug in the cable that come int the box to three holes mentioned earlier. Your all set to record.

I have a DVR from my cable company. Just play the movie and hit record on your DVD recorder if you have a blank disc in.

I have a Panasonic DVR that allows me to burn DVDs. It is easy to do. Instructions are in the manual.

Your DVR may not allow you to burn disks -- which means you can only watch the recorded shows by playing them from the DVR box. Look through your owner's manual to see if you can burn DVDs.

If you are not able to play DVDs using your DVR, then it is unlikely that you can burn them.
