I had a problem with my Phillips DVDR70 Recorder. Basically, after just over 2 years, it's given up finalising any disc. I've got 20-30 discs that I haven't yet finalised and, thus, have a major problem.

Is it possible for me to finalise these on a different DVD recorder ? I've got my eye on a SONY brand recorder buy will submit and buy another Phillips (which I really don't want to do) if I can only finalise them on that.

Any help is urgently needed and very much appreciated.

Cheers

Finalizing is just a formatting operation. If the recorder can read and write the DVD+R, it should be able to finalize it.

I guess it doesn't work. but you still can try it on your firend's DVD recorder. Hope you are lucky.
