Can I take a Hard drive out of one TIVO unit and add it as a 2nd drive in another dvr40? I've got a spare.

u could...but u would need to change the programming on the tivo to set up an master and slave hard drive.....i did that to mine.....if u dont know wut ur doing its best not to

go to weaknees.com they have really good systems. I have 150 hrs. of Tivo now
