It's very tedious when I'm using the TV guide and have to scroll through pages and pages of channels that aren't part of my subscription or I never watch. Is there any way I can hide these in the guide?

Hi, i want to connect my sky HD box to my new DENON amplifier. At the moment i am listening to sky through the tv but with a new surround sound system i'd rather listen to it through that. There is an audio optic slot in both sky hd box and amplifier but its a similar connection to a telephone/internet cable. I have tried comet, pc world etc and they have gave me standard audio red whit & yellow cables saying this is the same but it aint as there is no slot for the yellow cable in either the sky or amplifier boxes. Any idea what website i could visit to get this optic cable?? Cheers.

I have a Funai WV 20V6 DVD/Video Recorder. Transferred videos to DVDs--tried 2 different brands DVD+R. These will play on the Funai recorder and on my Dell laptop, but will not play on my Panasonic DVD/VCR Deck PV-D4761. Should I use a different DVD medium. All help will be appreciated.

I have the proper eqipment to automatically dub vhs to dvd-r but it doesn't allow for some tapes to be dubbed. The funny part is, I own these tapes and would think I could make another copy of my own tape to dvd. It seems as though the reproduction laws are set forth to stop recording for anything other than personal use for the owner of the viewing material (like selling or distributing, etc). SO... now that all this has been said, I just need to know how to make the tape dubbable? I remember with audio cassette tapes you just put a piece of tape over the gap(s) on the top. This however seems to pale in comparison to my present problem.

The dvd player has decided it's tempermental now. It says "LOADING". but never does. When I push the buttons on the remote the signal comes up on the screen (the circle) that tells me I can't do anything. Everything is hooked up correctly. It was playing fine before. We've cleaned it.
(very frustrating)
Any help would be grateful.

I rented a DVD and it kept on skipping, so I ripped it tom my hard drive to smooth over the rough spots,, and then deleted it upon returning the DVD. But just to be on the safe side, I don't want to get in any trouble. Can they tell if you've ripped it or not?

I was out browsing today and saw this awesome micro hi-fi system, but was too busy to write down the name or model, etc.

It had a glass-like (probably acryllic) panel on the side that lit up blue, and when you touched the panel it went green. The panel had volume, skip/search, and other "buttons". If anyone has this please let me know the name! I think it was JVC, but can't be sure.

Please note, I already have a good sound system: this one is for the gimmick.

I have a TruTech DvD Player, and A converter for my old tv. Anywayz I've only had this dvd player for about week at the most, and in the middle of my favorite movie, the picture paused. Then I try to go back to the main menu, but the screen read "Wrong Disc", I played this movie just yesterday and this morning then stopped and keeps displaying this with each movie I put in. Does Anyone Know Whatz Going On
