when nero transcodes a file (no matter what the input format ie:avi) it is converted to a mpeg file as this is the format to which nero creates the vob files! it's the conversion of the file that is doing it.
ie: a 700mb avi file will roughly be nearly 5gig when transcoded. the easiest way around it is to burn the disc at a custom setting of 6.5gig, then burn it to neros image drive! (not your cd/dvd writer!)
then, mount the image with deamon tools emulation drive and use nero recode to shrink it to a custom level of 4gig! (the reason for this is that nero uses over 300mb to write lead in files (so a dvd player can read the disc).
Final Note!: if you haven't got nero recode, then use dvd shrink and set the preferance at 4000mb (4gig!)
both nero and deamon are free!! easy to use and this will sort the prob!!

Not enough information.
The movies you describe are in what format???
If in avi, or kvcd or mpeg ,then you could get upwards of 5 movies on one dvd.
Are these brand new dvd disks that are rejected or are they dvd/rw ?
You say they're transcoded, but to what?
When it says there's not enough room on the disk, is that in reference to your dvd "disk" or your "hard drive disk"?
Try to be more specific because your request is too vague, sorry
Sight unseen, I'd say as the downloaded torrent is being encoded to dvd or whatever, your hard drive is full. If you've got tons of room left on your hard drive, at least it eliminates that issue
Add some more info, so help might be a little easier for you.
From personal experience, I use dvd/rw's because I'm not one to save movies as I do with music. I watch it and then reuse the disc again and again. If your doing the same, the important thing is every 3rd or 4th time (or every time), do the full erase/format procedure, not just the quick erase. The "quick erase" can sometimes leave bits of info giving the "burner" the illusion the disc is full. Just a thought.
By the way, my program of choice is Nero, too. I upgraded to Nero 7.**, but found way too many problems, as did a ton of other Nero users. I went back to Nero 6.6.0.13 or anywhere in the 6's, very stable, problem and bug free. From what I've read, Nero in the 7's just causes too many problems.
I'm not saying this applies to you, but just information for anyone.
If you desire, e-mail me, I work with Nero nearly on a daily basis
Hope this helps a bit

Maybe, it really has not enough room. Check if the disc is empty or not, if not...how much space is left. In the lower part of the screen you can see the space occupied by the movie you want to burn onto the disc.
