My VCR has this feature that automatically skips the commercials when I record programs. It doesn't always work, but when it does, its pretty cool. Anyone know how this little feature works?

I have a VCR, an LCD TV, a DVD player, a receiver, and a Comcast cable box. I thought I could just hook the Comcast cable out to the VCR in with an rca cable and it would work, but alas, it isn't. Does anyone know how I could go about doing this? If there are multiple ways, I would prefer one that just involves the VCR, an rca cable, and one other source.

Thanks in advanced,
Chris

AFter waiting weeks for mine to arrive and paying almost $300, I can't get GEMINI (who sells gps tracking phones through many sites, like childsafetytech.com) to even call me back about either replacing the broken phone delivered to me, or giving me a refund.
They said they have never "heard" of the product arriving broken to a customer and will have to "look into it" before they tell me anything: meanwhile I am out almost $300 and I got this for my youngest daughter. SInce children are being abducted, this was a peace of mind for us.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get this company's LACK of support out to other parents who are getting suckered?

I want to clean up all the cords behind my tv and behind my puter desk .I found this PowerSquid Surge Protector which would make the whole job easier to attach all the cords together with those velcro straps, and asked about it but you know how those guys are at Best Buy and Circuit City, they will try to sell you the most costly stuff.I have no clue on what Joules are and what you really need.Because there are so many cords it would take 2 behind both my tv and computer to plug everything in. What I would be plugging in is (behind TV) the tv, a vcr, stereo/DVD combo thing, my direct tv stuff, the lights on my entertain. center and a lamp .For the puter its, the puter, a lamp, 2 printers, my modem and all the other crap that gets plugged in.Also, once everyting is plugged in I'll end up having 3-4 plugs that won't be used so dividing the heavy stuff between the 2 is not a prob.
Please check it out at bestbuy.com/ item #7705414 and let me know what you think. Thanks so much.

Every time I hear about the latest and greatest gadget the story always ends with 'Currently only available in Japan...' and Korea sometimes as well. And I'm not talking about a few month's delay between there and the US market , it's YEARS. As big as the US market is, it seems like they'd want to get stuff over here ASAP. What's the deal?

I am hoping to convert my vynl and cassetts to CD. My Hi-fi is not in the same room as the PC so I am copying to cassett and tranferring to PC. This takes up alot of time. I think a USB turntable would make life easier.

I mean really cheap, 50-70% discount cheap, with reasonable shipping.

I'm mainly looking at rechargeable batteries and chargers, but it would be awesome if the place sold super-discounted digital cameras as well.
