My dad bought a Sharper Image clock at a garage sale, and is unable to figure out what makes it "tick". It looks like a purplish blue alien. It has a stalk like neck with a single eyeball on its head. The digital clock is on its belly. It seems to respond to some speech and noise, and says things like "what did you say", and "what's up", and randomly announces the time. Does anyone have one, or know how exactly what all it is capable of? I have written to Sharper Image on their website and am awaiting their response. The clock is not listed in their online catalog. Thanks.

I have a digital alarm clock that I bought in Canada and brought it to Europe. It's 110 Volts and 60 Hertz, like most appliances over there. I was just curious if I could get an electrician to rewire it inside to be able to operate on 240 Volts and 50 Hertz. I wouldn't go through all the trouble to get it rewired, but I really like the clock.

I am thinking of buying a topuptv card (and a cam) but the information I'm getting is that topuptv is being phased out in favour of topupanytime, which will require a seperate unit. Does that mean my I can't use it through my tv and it's obsolete already.

I have:
1 HDTV
1 Non HD TV
2 VCRS
1 Surround Sound System with DVD
1 Outdoor Aerial Antenna
There is no satellite nor cable to connect to.

We have the VCRs linked together with the antenna connected to the 'main' VCR. The 'main' VCR runs through the SS System to the HDTV. The 2nd VCR is with the analog TV. We had this set up to use one satellite receiver on two TVs, but we no longer subscribe. Also the VCR link is used quite a bit (with a 2yo in the house).

Since I'm not using my HDTV tuner (with antenna) I am not getting all the channels I can. Right?

How can I set up my system to be able to get HD on my HDTV. I need to be able to use the antenna with both TVs. And I'd like to keep the VCR setup.

I know I'm askiing a lot, but help!

I need write a clear recommendation, not a report, to the owner. Certain information is:
The cables are all PVC/PVC imperial size.
The protective devices are all BS3036 semi - enclosed fuses,
Many existing cables are surface - mounted and within touching distance of the people using the shop,
There are a number of long trailing extension leads,
The supply is three - phase, four - wire and the earthing system is TN-S.
Beside:
1. There is a freezer in this shop with existing 7/044 twin cable, which is considered to be too small. A design has been carried out and the new cable will be a 10/4mm squares twin+c.p.c cable. The cable is to be installed within the fabric of the building, but all current system must remain in place.
2. The local distributor is upgrading its system to a TN-C-S system increasing the prospective fault to 9kA. I want to investigate the appropriate type/s of protective device that might be used giving reasons for my choice/s.

so lemme lay it out for ya'll..

i have a cellphne, its just basic 3220, i also have an n70 bt its nt realy mine, its my moms. she has 3 cellphnes, n70,5500 and anther old unit. she uses the 5500. she only uses the n70 for wen my aunt calls. thats it. so i take liberty to use its features, i mean cmon i wouldnt want to waste a good fone, would i?

i have a digicam, 3.2 megapixel. i dont normally use it coz its kind of hard.. i dunno.. i was thinking of selling it to get money then my parents could give me an advanced one.

i dont have a videocam, but i think there are a lot of projects in high school that need videotaping so there.

a good cellphne like n80 would be nice. txting and calling and taking pics. please note that i am VAIN.

I would like a new digicam to take pictures of myself more often. i am vain.

Hello.

I recently (one week ago) bought a brand new LCD tv from Argos. After bringing it home and getting it set up, it seems the remote and tv wont talk with each other. I have called up Samsung (tv make) and there techical guys advised taking the batteries from the remote and holding the on button! And putting in new batteries! Did both this and the tv still cant be worked with the remote! My problem is I have lost the receipt, but I bought the tv using my credit card. Can I use my credit card statement as proof of purchase? (there was another item on the receipt!)
I dont want to be stuck with a dud telly!

my husband needs up at 6.30 and I dont need up to 7.30. I have been setting my mobile or hitting the snooze button for an hour. I did stupidly buy a new radio alarm cause it said dual alarm but this means radio or buzzer. Thanks
