can you hook it up through the vcr?

there is an awesome electonics sale and I want a dvd player i have a vcr and a old old big screen tv i am moving in a few weeks and i don't see the point in buying a new tv when my b/f has like 3 already can i hook my dvd player up through my vcr?

If it were new I would say yes,just as we have done. But yours is probably to old and does not have the proper hook-up to do this.
