i have cable tv straight connection to the back of the tv (no box) and i also have a HD local channel receiver. My problem is i have an attick antenna that is to be connected to the receiver box however it does not reach of course so what i did is got a splitter to connect the over the air antenna and the cable line in order to watch HD local channels with the box and cable but the problem is some of the cable channels get distorted that way. How can i do this without distoring the signal?

I have a front loading Kenmore HE 2 dryer and it will not start. I have power coming to it, I can change cycles, but when I press the start button it just gives me a beep. I tried to unplug it and plug it back up and it still didn't work. I looked it up on the internet & a site said that my lightbulb might be the reason it doesn't start. I just want some feed back before I call the Sears guy to fix it. Thanks in advance!!

Please do not give me obvious and vague responses such as "the difference is that chargeable batteries have something in them that makes them rechargeable." I would like to know exactly what the differences are.

Because, I mean essentially, why do even still have regular batteries if we can just buy a pair that we can just recharge?

Maybe from Rent-A-Center, or something. Unfortunately, on their website you can't get prices without signing up! (Stupid.)

Essentially, would there be a difference in the power usage between an appliance that is running and an appliance that is in 'standby' mode, but still attached to the mains power. Does the transformer draw more from the mains supply when it is under load, or am I wasting my time pushing the off button on my vcr every night?

Long story short, for the past two years and a half I have been getting extremely crude phone calls at work from a man who pleasures himself while making fake conversation. It has gotten to the point that when last year I switched jobs, the man found me again and now continues to make these calls. I feel each time as though I have been mentally raped. I am angry and hurt and my manager can do nothing! I need to know who this is. Please anyone with PPX knowledge can you please help me?

I have a decent consumer grade digital camera. I want to take professional quality pictures and I wanted to know is it more important to have a higher end camera or photo editing software?

The photos I will be taking will mostly be of people in different settings and lighting. I want to achieve that professional look with my photos. I am aware that part of quality photos is lighting and with that being considered could I make very nice professional looking photos with a decent consumer grade digital camera and quality editing software? Or should I spend the money on a high end camera and/or decent photo editing software?

I am not a professional photographer but I find myself more and more having show higher quality pictures for work and pleasure. Mainly I would be taking pictures of rooms and stills of people and some stationary objects.

Can anyone give me some advice and some options I may want to take?

Thanks

I have a turntable connected to a stereo receiver. It plays well and sounds good but there is a loud hum in the background. I was recording lp's to tape, and the noise comes through on the recording. Any recording enthusiasts out there?

I was involved in a car wreck and the lady hit me in the rear. When she came over to the car I pressed the button to record her statement(she said she hit me and she was sorry) now she is saying this is my fault. I have her confession on the recorder I was leaving the hospital and she is a nurse (what is this world coming to) but when I went to play back the recording it is in slow motion and I tried the fast speed and it sounds like the chipmunks. I need this for a court case. Can anybody HELP ME? PLEASE?

I have only a loose part of logitech X-220 subwoofer, it has different connection to the speakers like female 3-4-2 pins in round plug each in straight rows. (looks like s-video connector with 3-4-2 pins instead of 3-4 pins on s-video).

I want to use this subwoofer, but i have no cable. DO you have any suggestion on what is the name of the cable type, is there any connector to that or how to use it in conjunction with my speaker systems now. thanks
