I was involved in a car wreck and the lady hit me in the rear. When she came over to the car I pressed the button to record her statement(she said she hit me and she was sorry) now she is saying this is my fault. I have her confession on the recorder I was leaving the hospital and she is a nurse (what is this world coming to) but when I went to play back the recording it is in slow motion and I tried the fast speed and it sounds like the chipmunks. I need this for a court case. Can anybody HELP ME? PLEASE?
Kindly

Ok,

you have 2 speed controls on this machine.....

one is "2-speed tape selector (2.4/1.2)"

your "Cue and Review selector allows "Fast playback speeds playback by about 20%"

So... (1) don't use the fast playback mode of the 3 position cue review..

(2) find yer "2-speed tape selector (2.4/1.2)" and go between the 2 settings until you get the one that you recorded with....

(3) copy that onto something else as a backup......If you have a laptop GREAT! if not, any computer with a microphone (or buy a mike for it) then use windows sound recorder (go to programs then, accessories then, entertainment then, sound recorder) to record it to a wave file. you may also need to set the microphone to record from. (if so..... then (go to programs then, accessories then, entertainment then, volume control ) now, click options then, choose recording, make sure the microphone check box is checked then choose ok. Now depending on yer sound card......you will have to choose one of 2 things 1-unmute the mike 2--select the mike. it will be one or the other.....leave this volume control up till you finish recording as you can turn the mike up and down to get a good recording.

(4) burn the wave file to a audio cd (you can use windows media player...simple enough right click the saved wave file and choose "add to burn list"

(5) bring the recorder, the laptop (if you have one) & a CD player (with the WAV file on a CD in it) to court (IF you have a lawyer ...let him/her choose best way) if you're alone...you're gonna be flustered and the judge isn't gonna let you have lot of time... in case one doesn't work...you have backups.

Hope I helped....
(glad to hear you're ok...physically anyway.)

Your luck, you can try a repair store but most likely you will need to proceed with out her confession which might not even be admissible.
