To get the best sounds, beats, etc in electronic music, have PCs caught up with specialized synth and drum modules. Certainly pc-based sequencers have. I'm looking to get (back) into music and wonder if I need a bunch of keyboards and modules still or can I go totally computer-based...

I need to purchase an MP3 player to which I can attache an external microphone to record my own voice: I don't need to download songs from the internet. My recent trip to Best Buy was rather disappointing. The only models there had tiny built in microphones. I'm not considering an i pod because as far as I now they are not recordable. Also I need unit that has an output auxillary jack, as well as an AC power adaptor. What I really need it for is to record voice overs that I can download on my computer and send the wave files as attachments to my employer. Any other suggestions?

This is actually for my GF (girlfriend) :) and her employer.

I'm thinking of doing that to make a little extra money. I know how to do it well, so I figure, why not make some money off of it.

What would you pay?

i have a linksys router, 3 wirless computers, 1 hard wired into router, plus a sony psp.
I would like to find a location free meadia player that will allow me to hook up my basic cable, and i would aslo like to hook up my dvd changers to this location free meadia player so that every wifi computer and other comp's can watch my dvd's by wifi from the changer through the location free player. Is thier such a device that will allow multiple wifi connections at the same time, and is this device capable of streaming different meadia at the same time..
example: computer A wants to watch a dvd from the changer via wifi AND computer B wants to watch cable TV. AND computer C wants to watch another dvd located on a seperate dvd changer.
...so if this is not possible....what can i do to stream my dvd's and be able to watch different dvd's on different computers at the same time?

So I brought a new Dell flatscreen 20" monitor that is compatible with HDTV.

I was thinking of connecting the monitor to my HDTV-ready cable box with a DVI cable so I can watch HD or other cable channels on my monitor.

My questions are:

1.) Do I still need a TV tuner card or equipment to make it work?

2.) If I hook up my monitor to my cable box..will the cable signal be on my monitor all the time? For instance, when I'l running other programs..will the cable signal interfere with them? My Dell monitor has Picture in Picture but does that mean the little tv screen will always be on, even when I dont want it to be?

3.) Will I still be able to watch cable tv on my normal tv, which is currently hooked up to the cable box?

thanks!

Hi - For several weeks now my refridgerator and more recently the freezer compartment as well has been intermittently giving off a really offensive smell. It kind of smells like old rubbish bags. I have emptied ALL food contents 3 times and have scrubbed it out to within an inch of it's existence. There has been no spillages inside the fridge and it is immaculately clean. I have also cleaned and disinfected the drain at the back. It is a fridge freezer that is fitted into a cupboard. (You know the sort, it looks like a cupboard but has the fridge inside). Any ideas welcome. I am becoming obsessive and the smell is putting me off eating

Hello.

I am using a TVMONITOR (The Samsung SyncMaster 940mg to be exact) and I am using it to play my 360.

I realized that the picture I was getting from the HD Inputs... wasn't HD so I changed to using a VGA Cable. The TV Registers the VGA Cable as PC and Puts out a Beautiful High Def image. Its superb. However, It doesn't have sound. I know VGA doesn't cover sound and the cable has a RED and WHITE cable for the speakers. I plug these into my TV too but no sound comes from them. I believe its because they are entering a different 'sources' input.

Besides buying new speakers (and the TV has BRILLIANT speakers as it is) is there a way around this that anyone can foresee?

Hi, I am trying to figure out what exactly the "SD MMC" slot means. Actually, it isn`t my phone, but my friend`s and we were both wondering what it means. The phone in question is a Motorola MPx200 and we understand that it is saying either 1. SD Card slot, 2. MMC card slot, 3. SD MMC card slot. We are wondering if we can use a regular SD card for the phone or not. He would like to use a 8GB or 4GB SD card for the phone. Or do we have to buy a special card? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
