Carefully take it apart, wash it in warm water - and if necessary lightly agitate with a toothbrush. Dry what you can with some absorbent kitchen roll and then carefully dry the remainder of the moisture with a hair drier. Success is generally pretty good - unless you've barbecued the main chip!!

You can try to dismantle it and dry it out, but this is a less than 50/50 chance it will work again, 2 you can try and get a new one but they are normally expensive, 3 buy one that can replace it a simple one or a 1 in 4 or 1 in 6 etc, 4 you can go to old way of getting up to change the channels

some work after they dry out ,ive done it a few times got a liquid on a remote and have opened the remote up cleaned the plastic parts and wiped with damp cloth gently the circuit board and they worked again.
if it fails to work instore/poundstretcher have a remote for sale for about £4 to £6 i needed a replacement one and this works great

That happened to me LOL, I spill coffee on everything.

I let it dry and it worked again after a few days.

try and dry it off if you can ,but it might take a few days and may or may not work .if not cheapest was would be a one for all remote or try the internet or local market for replacement .

ouch.......

dry of any coffee, if the coffee has got inside the control, then put remote in airing cupboard so that the liquid is vapourised.

open it up and rinse it out with water, let dry, without allowing any corrosion or rust to occur on the little metal things inside, put in some fresh batteries and try her out. The same thing happened to my digital scale and that fixed it fine.

Take it apart & carefully give it a clean, you might be lucky I was when this happend to my remote.
