Hi, I am trying to figure out what exactly the "SD MMC" slot means. Actually, it isn`t my phone, but my friend`s and we were both wondering what it means. The phone in question is a Motorola MPx200 and we understand that it is saying either 1. SD Card slot, 2. MMC card slot, 3. SD MMC card slot. We are wondering if we can use a regular SD card for the phone or not. He would like to use a 8GB or 4GB SD card for the phone. Or do we have to buy a special card? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

that phone probably does not support anything over 1gb, most phones only support 2gb (i shouldn't say most because not many do unless you have a data phone like you do have) but that phone is older and i seriously doubt it can go over 1gb. beyond that, the type of card is asking for is exaclty what it says sd/mmc (sd is secure digital, that's the brand and mmc is multimedia memory card). 230090003144 is an item number for ebay, it's a 1 gb, it should work in the phone but do some research first. just do google and type "gb mpx220" and just see what comes up, you'll find it and if you want to find other cards on ebay, just type "sd/mmc gb" or even add 1, 2 or 4 to find an actual size. i'm sure that info will help you. just so i'm clear, it does have to be sd/mmc or it won't work.
