It is most likely the file format of the video you burned. DVD players usually play .ISO or .VOB

Also, you need to have a blank DVD. I suspect that you did use one, but some people use data discs, or regular cd's and expect them to play.

There are a few programs you can use to burn dvd's. If you downloaded the video, you can use Nero or Nero Express and it will automatically convert your video file so that it will play in a DVD player. Try going to download.com and searching Nero.

If you are copying a DVD you will want to use DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter. You can get these programs at afterdawn.com.

Once at afterdawn.com, you can go to the "DVD-R for newbies" section and look at other peoples questions, or ask your own, and about 5 people will reply (people that are really amazing, and can help you out fast, and effective, with detailed troubleshooting).

So, I wish you good luck!

My wager is that your more low priced DVD participant is the single which ought to play the AVI documents. DVD's - like those you purchase on the keep, are a particular report format and structure on the disk, no longer basically basically an MPEG report. There are some ideas for you: a million) study some tutorials on the thanks to rework MPEG's and AVI's (or almost any video type) into DVD's. Doom9 and Videohelp are both tremendous places to initiate. they actually have hyperlinks to each and each and every of the free, legal application you want. 2) purchase a second DVD participant that performs MPEG's and AVI's. through some distance the most favourite one for sale immediately is the Philips DVP642 about $55US at Wal-Mart. There are a bunch more beneficial out lately. bypass to the gamers record in Videohelp to make certain which gamers help which formats. BTW - what are the makes and fashions of both DVD gamers you've now?

For some reason the DVDs recorded format is not compatible. Did you finalize the DVD? Did you do anything different that last time? I suggest that you burn another DVD and see what happens. If the same happens, then it must be the recorded material that is not being processed by your DVD player.
