I am hoping to convert my vynl and cassetts to CD. My Hi-fi is not in the same room as the PC so I am copying to cassett and tranferring to PC. This takes up alot of time. I think a USB turntable would make life easier.

There is a turntable called ITT I think, featured here:

It will also take an external analogue signal from a cassette etc...
it's around £100/$100
