I use a USB Freeview dongle. It cost £25 and came with all the software I needed to receive all the free digital channels. All I do is plug it into the USB port and the aerial socket and whee... TV.

Yes. You will need a TV capture card which can be fitted internally or via a USB socket. The external ones are quite small - about the size of a router. They will pick up digital Freeview and you can record off them, too. They are readily available from stores such as PC World.

You will need a card for your computer mine has a digi box on it too, you also need a good TV aerial connected to your comp (through the card at rear), I did split my existing aerial but proved wanting but still works unless its raining lol. so that says it all about my aerial.

Hopefully if your computer is not too too old, like they said above. You buy a video TV tuner card.
