NOT illegal if you're backing up your own DVDs for your own use. You can even convert them into other formats, overlay the sound with rap music, put a blue filter over everything so it's 24 hours of Smurfs. STILL LEGAL. Yeah, I get annoyed when ignorant people say 'that's illegal omg' too.

DVD Shrink is the best for DVD >> DVD copying. For DVD >> AVI I use a combination of DVD Decrypter and AutoGK. All freeware :)

First of all I would like to say that is called piracy and is illegal, but if you still want to know you have to download something called a DVD decrypter, this will crack the code that is on a copy-protected DVD. I'm not sure where to download a DVD decrypter, because I personally don't need it, but if you want it then I don't think it would be too hard to find one. It is your own fault if you ignore the law..not mine. =)

dvd shrink, dvd clone and fab decrypter. They are all free. The first two won't work on Sony Pictures and Columbia. Dvd shrink is good because it shrinks an 9 gig movie to fit a regular 4.7 gig dvd.

CloneDVD, CloneCD and AnyDVD are the best products to use. AnyDVD is the piece of software that bypasses most copy protection on the market.

You can find them at http://www.slysoft.com

Well worth the small amount of money they cost.
