Ok, something is really freaking messed uo on my ipod nano. i conected it last night to put 1 song on it. Suddenly,i disconected it and all of my songs, photos,and other data were deleted and i am soo pissed....then i tried to back it up and SOMEHOW....all of my computer documemts were on my ipod so i had my dad look at it and he was trying to look up ways to fix it. on the internet. i also updated it a few days ago to version 1.3. and does this make any sense?! ok,my ipod is empty,right? my dad looked up something and it showed a circle thing telling how much memory my ipod had left and it said it was all taken up. and when i connect the ipod to my computer,itunes does not even pop up and when i try to connect it by clicking on ituens my self on my desktop, you know how it say ---------'s ipod where it says playlists and it shows all of the statistics? that doesnt even pop up!!!! :( IF U KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS PLEASE HELP MNE IF U UNDERSTAND THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!

okay so after having my nano stolen a couple of days ago i bought a shuffle new little tiny silver 1 2nd gen. i think ans when i plug it in to the computer i have windows xp it says it doesnt recongnize the device and to replace it what does this mean? please help i have no songs on mine.

i have an ipod nano. i don't know what happened here, but i let my mom used it to go to work since i wasn't going to use it, because i was at school.

when she came home the ipod didn't work and the screen of the ipod puts a check sign and an "Ok to disconnect".
the top of the screen says "Disk Mode".
and another problem is the light won't go on, and i can't play any music in the ipod, and it shows the same screen, even if i press the reset button, the ipod stays the same with the same screen.

last night it was fine, and everything was perfect. then today when my mom bought it to work, it came back like this. she didn't listen to it, but left it in her locker and forgot it there.

what should i do?

If I download music from itunes, does it save it as MP3 format? My car sterio supports MP3 but no other format so I need to make sure that I'm not going to waste my money on an ipod if it won't work in car.

I recently purchased a movie from I-tunes, only to discover that it comes in .m4v format, unusable on my Zen Vision M. Does anyone know of a converter to go from .m4v to .avi or .wmv? (preferrably free?) Thanks!!!

I just got my new iPod! I am so happy! I have never had one before. I haven't even download iTunes yet. (I'm at work and I have to wait until I get home) I have a dial-up connection and I was wondering how long it takes to download 1 song? And anything other important information I should know before I get started.

Okay, I'm new and learning how to use this..
I haven't figured out just how to delete files on my iPod. From iTunes I have 'unchecked' the box beside the file...but the file remains.

And you get bonus points if you can tell me how to get the files organized. I have it on the setting where iTunes is supposed to keep it organized... But podcasts I've subscribed too aren't all kept together... For spanish lessons, lessons 1 & 2 will be under the recently downloaded heading and lessons 3 & 4 are under the podcast heading. This is becoming increasingly frustrating.

A friend of mine gave me her used I-pod. This is one of the older original i-pods with the buttons above the click wheel. First of all i do not see anything that turns the power on. 2nd When i try to charge it, it does not show that it is charging on my computer.
3rd, do i need specific headphones for this i-pod or will the ones from my i-pod shuffle work?

I bought a SIREN MP3 player from Walmart and there is a place to put a memory card but it says up to 1GB. What difference would it make? What would happen if I put a 2GB card in it?
