I want my hubby to make full use of the video ipod other than music videos(Not games,he has got a psp for that) so can someone give me ideas how to put films on it. I have an Imac so if im downloading and need to convert, tell me what program is required?
It is a 60gb Video Ipod, not the new 80gb they have brought out.

I have a kinda funky audiovox mp3 player, and I am thinking about getting a new one. I have always been kind of anti-ipod because I've heard alot of bad things about them and I think the accessories are extremely overpriced. But they are the most popular (my opinion), so they must be doing something right. Sooooo...

1. Are i-tunes/ipods really as bad as I've heard?

2.If not ipod, what's better?

I was also thinking acout a Creative Labs Zen.

Do you have to use itunes to put music on an ipod?

Ok...my iPod Nano is weird. I had a song that was in my iPod nano and I was trying to look for it a few days ago and it wasn't there..it's still in my iTunes and I've updated it a few times today and it still wouldn't go in and then I have a problem with the time in my iPod. i live in NY and when it's AM or PM, it's turns like the totally opposite. like I set it to say, 5:30 pm and it says 5:30 AM. I keep trying to change it but it turns back. What's wrong with my iPod?

car stereo is a rockford fosgate that plays mp3 and the second pair of 6x9's in rear have blown again. is it the player, a bad install or could it be the computer noise?

As i was updating my ipods firmware, the program froze and i couldnt eject my ipod either way, so i just restarted my comp and took out the ipod from the comp, and now my ipod keeps restarting itself, the apple sign keeps going on and off, i even let the battery die, but when i turned it back on, it does it again, wat shall i do! its the 30gb ipod video too! damnit

i know what it is and all but i have never had one, i have only had an mp3 player, so i have a few questions about things ive heard
1)can you put music form cds on it just like an mp3 player?
2)are they good? do they ever freeze or stop working?
3)what is the best type that is at least 20gb?
4)do they have the radio on them?
5)do they have anythihng on them that makes them different than the mp3 players?

if you have any information about ipods besides answers to my questions that would be great too

It froze, the battery ran out, and now I get the sad face. It will not reset either according to the directions on the apple site or other sites. Is there an easy fix for this that I haven't tried?

STILL can`t get videos onto my ipod. Downloaded the latest version of iTunes. Help files (& other reference sources here) say that you simply drag & drop the video files into your iTunes library & iTunes takes care of the rest. When I dothis the result is a spectacular nothing (don`t even get an error message) Does the file have to be in a particular format (Divx?) or am I doing something else wrong?

When I doc the iPod I get "Do Not Disconnect" forever and nothing else. There is no connection. I've tried everything, all 5 steps recommended on the iPod support site. I can't even get the iPod updater to engage to update or restore the thing to factory settings. I've downloaded all the latest software, I've deleted it all, downloaded it again, etc. I've resetted the iPod countless times, I've reinstalled iTunes and iPod software and restarted my computer 4 times. I CAN'T do a restore. The computer just can't seem to detect the USB connection. Yes, I'm using all the equipment that came with the original iPod. HELP! All I want to do is sych the damn thing with newly downloaded music.

ipod video will not update....it has always worked untill last night...now i plug it in...and the autoplay comes up like it should, but then it doest update...and i go to file, and the thing that says "update ipod" is greyed out, and i know it is plugged in becasue the ipod is charging so please help me!
