I want my hubby to make full use of the video ipod other than music videos(Not games,he has got a psp for that) so can someone give me ideas how to put films on it. I have an Imac so if im downloading and need to convert, tell me what program is required?
It is a 60gb Video Ipod, not the new 80gb they have brought out.

Anything i have read so far says that only the US itunes store does movies and noone from the UK can buy them as yet.

Due to the wonderful world of copyright and it's restrictions on a country by country basis, there is almost no video content for iTunes UK whereas in America it's all Hunky Dory so for legal content us Brits (& fellow Europeans) are going to have to wait. The same applies to Google video and other legal content services. We are the poor relation in terms of access to content like this. If you have a US registered credit card, you're laughing but otherwise it's your own ripped and illegal content or next to nothing I'm afraid.
If you want to convert existing DVD footage then I recommend mpeg stream clip (free for Mac & Windows) - you'll need to convert the DVD to mpeg4 & resize to 320x240.

Plug in Your iPod and There you have it!
Video Playback on the New iPod is GREAT!
Not sure about the earlier Generations!Screen ain't so Hot!

Apparently you can get movies - but you need to go to the Apple's US store. You shouldn't need to do any converting.
