Well if your willinging to go illegal limewire, kazoo, etc. are all file-sharing programs where people can take files and share them. Just download the program and then search away for any music you want, they don't have everything but they have just about it, maybe missing a few percent. It's all free and the program is free but kazoo puts ads on your computer. I'd use limewire for i chose it and it is free and no ads but beware some files may contain trojans so make sure you have good security program to rat them out. Hope you found your answer!

My son goes to the public library and checks out CD's and brings them home to burn. Doesn't cost us a thing and he can keep them for a few days, free with his library card.

the best way in my opinion is using sharewares such as eMule, eDonkey & etc. u can find whatever u want in their database, i myself am using eMule for about 6 monthes & i download about 20Gb of musics, movies, softwares & ... (eMule is free to download)
