do they? and how do you get them on there I know they hold album covers and stuff and I know how to set that I set them as my friends pics but help

I've downloaded a number of tracks from the itunes website and wondered, apart from buying an expensive ipod, what is the best way to protect my songs.

Can I put them on an ordinary mp3 player?
Can I save them to disk?
Am I able to copy & paste to a laptop?

Today I finally got to buy a zen vision m. I was pretty happy with my purchase, until I took it home and discovered it didn't work. So I took it back to best buy and replaced it... another dud.
Anyway, I made a mistake with the first one by plugging it in to my usb before the software was installed, so maybe thats why that one screwed up. With the second one I just plugged it in because the software from the previous one was still on my comp. Was that a mistake? Should I have installed the software (the exact same stuff) that came with that one, or does it make a difference?
I really like this player from what I've heard about it, so I'm hoping maybe it was me. I think the odds of getting 2 defective players are pretty low.
With both of the players the power button will light up, but it won't turn on and neither windows or the creative software recognize it when its plugged in.
So anyway I'm going to trade that one in tomorrow, any tips anyone have so this one won't be screwed up. I could test it at B.B. but if it requires the exact software it came with that'll be no help. Thanks for reading, I'm about at my wits end. I want THIS player.

limewire only has some of the songs, but not the reprises and things like that. Anyone know where I can find them all so that i can put them onto my MP3 player. On the website they have URL's to all the songs...but I wouldnt know how to turn those into Mp3 files..or if I even can. Help?

So i left my ipod in my coat..and i accidently washed it!!...it turns on..and i can hear the music just fine..but the only thing that's not working...is when i plug it in to charge it..and add music...my computer doesn't recognize..and my transmitter for my radio doesn't either!!..any ideas to make it be recognized both on my comp. and my transmitter?

I've just charged my Ipod and was listenting to it but then its suddenly frozen! Its stuck between doing two things and the light won't turn off. Nothings working, the lock key is off and I've also tried connecting it to my computer but it won't pick it up!! Anyone else had the same problem? Is it faulty or shall I just wait to until the battery dies then try again? I've only had it for a month and I've hardly used it!
