Hi. I just got a new computer for Christmas... I have everything needed for it, except for a damn phone jack. Well, I do have one, but I'm pretty sure it's un-usuable. So, my question would be, about how much would it cost to have a phone jack put into my room? Thanks.

I live in Vancouver WA (Not, BC, or DC.) The state above Oregon.

For my cell phone plan, weekends are free, including long distance. And I was wondering if I wanted to call someone in Canada would it cost something?

I know there are phones that display caller id but what I would like to do is programme the phone so it will show me the name of the caller instead of the number. I have a long list of callers and sometimes the caller has rung off before I have had chance to identify them.

"Ring Ring Card" from Telekom Malaysia, is the same as any calling card it's just that I found out it's way cheaper than any calling card out there to call to Malaysia or any S.Asian country.

I have a recording (MP3) that I want to record on my voicemail greeting, but when I try putting the speaker to the phone and record it, it sounds distorted and staticy. Is there any software that can connect to my modem and transmit the sound on to the phone? I'll even settle with software that lets you talk on the phone line. I just want to record it and for it to sound clear. Please help.

For the past year I have been receiving wrong # calls from the same person, over and over and over. She calls and asks for "Daisy", sometimes leaving messages for her on my answering machine. Obviously I am not Daisy and when I tell her, again and again, that she has the wrong number she will simply say OK and hang up, only to call back again later on.

I had finally had enough and called the phone company, who were less than helpful. Then I called the police, I simply did not know what else to do. They sent an officer to her residence, which is right here in town, and asked her to stop. She turns out to be an elderly woman who is apparently suffering some kind of dementia such as alzheimers. She does not recognize that she is calling the wrong # probably because she does not remember having called it before.

I sympathize for her but this has to stop. She called SIX times this morning! How do I get this to end?? And no I'm not changing my #.
