Generally not a good idea, since they definely have a caller ID system that isn't fooled by *67.

no that's not a good idea to do that. how would you like someone giving you a prank phone call? i dint think that's nice and i believe you really wouldn't like that cause they are annoying and very threatening at times. besides they have caller ids to tell what number called them so how would that even be a prank phone call? god bless you OK ill pray for you shame on you to want to even do that too people god will get you for that one day OK he sees and watches everything we do OK dude.

I guess it would be funny but be careful of what TV ads you do it for. Some of them may be recorded and then they could report you to the police or something like that.

Go for it.
It's funny because since they have to speak like representatives instead of regular people you are calling at home.
They tend to stay on for longer and try to convince you to buy what they're selling.
Quite fun indeed.

Well, I'm not against prank, so if you think it's fun then do it.
I think it's childish and impolite because they are doing business and you're making fun of it.
