I need a very simple cordless phone that can be placed down in the charger for charging. This person that I'm looking for it for cares a lot about how things look and she wants its small, white and face down.

People talking to me tell me that sometimes my phone cuts off and they can't hear me for a second or two, over and over again, I'm breaking up. What could be causing it. One year old Uniden phones with the high bandwidth. My other cordless phone has no problem, also a Uniden but much older with a different signal.

Well, I've been wondering, can someone tell me how to dial letters by numbers? I don't understand how it works. Like for the letter A, how many times do you have to dial 2? Once for A, twice for B, and thrice for C? I just don't get it! Help!

Most phones have a plug covering a hole in the case. The plug USED TO be for access to a remote antenna RECEPTACLE; most newer phones no longer have the receptacle mounted on the circuit board. How about Virgin's phones?

I know 5.8 GHZ is the best frequency to get. Is there anyone out there who lives in Manhattan, that has a cordless phone that works well when pretty far from the base ? I think that if the phone has an antenna that helps as well, not sure.

Our home phone is land based and has very bad 'reception'. It constantly has popping and scratching noises although the phone company has checked and cannot resolve the problem. It also affects our internet connection, as we have it through the phone line also. What other options do I have so that I can resume normal internet use without being disconnected constantly? (I am getting a cell phone to replace the land based one.)

Is there any way to find out if someone has caller id? Like a website that you can type in a phone number and it will tell you if they have caller id?

How long do you think it will be before everyone just ditches the land line and has a cell instead. We know that businesses will keep land lines but you don't even have to have a land line anymore to have a computer because you can use cable. I've noticed that payphones are harder to find too. What do you think?

My grandmother's house is near a radio tower. Any time she uses the telephone, the radio station comes through the handset and is so loud that sometimes you can barely hear the caller over the radio feed. What can help with this problem? My grandmother doesn't have a computer and is using a corded telephone (although the feed will come over a corless set, too). Thanks in advance!

When pressing *69 to see who called, it doesn't work. Anything else besides paying the high cost of Caller ID to trace the number ?
