For instance, when my sister was in Monaco, again, it showed up as a local 713 number? What does this mean --are there specific local exchanges that the number comes in on, rather than a typical European phone number? If so, why?

Two jacks for the two lines are right next to each other in one room, so if I had to connect them somehow, I think I could to it there.

We used to have two phone lines, one was for the computer, but when we got DSL we canceled the other one.

But now we have extensions in the house we'd like to use that belong to the switched-off line, and I want to try and connect them to our working phone line without having to pay the phone company to do it.

When I called a land line it rang once and then said all circuits were busy...was my call blocked? or was there just no call waiting? Please help...I was calling my ex-boyfriends house, we recently had a fight and broke up but we are still friends and starting to talk again.

what's the number you can dial before a long distance to make it cost less?

2007-01-13 13:25:21 · 7 answers · asked by ndine_5 2

There is a dial tone on the "regular" phones but the previous call that was conducted on the cordless phone was disconnected on the other end. Then after hitting the 'end' button to turn off the phone, it apparantly didn't get pushed hard enough and was still running for 1 hr.

If I was expecting a call back immediately, would the other party be able to get through?
