Googled the number - Church Wood Financial Management Limited in Stockport.
You could register with the Telephone Preference Service, this removes your number from the databases that they companies have access to. It takes about a month, but then you would not get as many of theses type of calls.
Hope this helps

The calls may be from a call-centre. Most call-centres stack up several telephone numbers on an automatic ring system at a time. If ten lines are in use, but the operators' are busy on 8 lines making calls, the 2 lines remaining will be silent calls when picked up as there isn't an operator available to use the 2 lines. I'd ask BT to trace the number, and complain to BT and ask the number to be stopped, or go ex-directory. Have you tried ringing the number? At least then you may find out who is calling?

try ringing it a lot of companies now if you don't answer leave these numbers so you can call it and find out who it is, it'll probably give a recorded message. Its a freephone number so won't cost
To stop sales calls go to http://www.tpsonline.org.uk and sign up for the telephone preference scheme. If you have already signed up with this you can also make a complaint through the site.
If you find out what company it is you can complain to them and ask them to remove you from their calling list. It could also be a company calling you about their account with them which would still be legal even if you opt out of sales calls.

Nope. I doubt it's a malicious caller as it looks like a business number to me. Possibly one of those automated messages. If it carries on, ring BT's malicious calls line and have the number blocked. They can help with nusiance phone calls.

I keep getting silence calls,it is caused by a bot programme, the first to pick up gets through, but not enough staff to answer hence silence.

company's computers ring your number randomly but if there is none of their own agents available to speak to you it will carry on ringing until there is.. its called cold calling and you can now report this as it is illegal in the UK
