looking for (shielded or unshielded) twisted pair extension phone wire as the current one is acting as an amplifer and getting radio interference.

You might try going to one of the ham radio sites and looking for help qrz.com or eham.com.
Ask how to make a choke You can make a choke by making a loop in the wire.
Also you can add a filter.

If you have shielded cable, only ground one end. If you have twisted pair without a ground or shield, the fact that it is twisted ( out of phase), should help with the interference. You can also but inductance filters which wrap around the cable. Is that what you were looking for or are you looking for where to buy it? Radio shack or Home Depot may have some.

LAN is short for community section community that's many times the interconnection between 2 or extra desktops through utilising a particular cable. Sounds like to me the lines were not installed in accordance to industry standards. Contact the person who intalled these line and explain what is happening, they should come back and reintstall the lines.
