Why are you paying $6/mo? There are wireless phone jacks you can use. One goes where you have the phone line and the other goes where your satellite receiver is located.

You know many satellite receivers don't really need a phone connection except to purchase PPV movies. They say you need it for an additional receiver but I've had one of my boxes unplugged from the phone line for years and it still works.
