If you do not want that to happen you have to disable your call waiting while online, you could do that by dialing *70 (that is star 70) before your internet access line (the number that your modem dials to get you on the net. Good LUCK.

Chances are your modem cannot handle the extra line. You can buy a adapter that can switch the line automatically with out losing connection. Although I can't tell you the brand off the top of my head.

You probably have call waiting. I had that problem til I got DSL now I can talk on the phone and play on Yahoo Answers at the same time!
