For the past year I have been receiving wrong # calls from the same person, over and over and over. She calls and asks for "Daisy", sometimes leaving messages for her on my answering machine. Obviously I am not Daisy and when I tell her, again and again, that she has the wrong number she will simply say OK and hang up, only to call back again later on.

I had finally had enough and called the phone company, who were less than helpful. Then I called the police, I simply did not know what else to do. They sent an officer to her residence, which is right here in town, and asked her to stop. She turns out to be an elderly woman who is apparently suffering some kind of dementia such as alzheimers. She does not recognize that she is calling the wrong # probably because she does not remember having called it before.

I sympathize for her but this has to stop. She called SIX times this morning! How do I get this to end?? And no I'm not changing my #.

I was having a problem with a lady calling all the time asking to score drugs from us - we are not into drugs at all - I realised she didnt know where we lived as one day she left a message on our machine asking for the address so she could come over - most of the time she would ring all hours of the day and night and say nothing but a canary was always tweeting away in the background then she would hang up and redial up to about 15 times per session - we didnt want to change our number either as we like our number - its already silent so I called the phone company and they said to write down at least 3-4 calls over more than 1 day - they needed the time and the dates and then they did a check and found her - they sent her a letter advising that what she was doing was illegal (big deal that did nothing) then they advised me that they have a service thats $3 per month but you can block phone numbers - they lady was calling from a private number so you just press 0 when the service is set upo and you are logged into it and it blocks the last numbedr called - it worked for us - she has called a couple of times from other peoples phones but I just block them also and now its been about 3 months since we have heard from her.

Ask your provider if they have any service like this.

There is nothing you can do other than to add the special feature that will block a list of phone numbers. It is called Call Screen and costs a few dollars a month.

You can only block an entire area code of phone numbers. The phone company is not set-up to block just one number. In other words they don't want to deal with it.
